I know this is a ridiculous idea and has a very slim chance of working but has anyone ever tried to hold a belt or system for the purpose of letting roids grow and stop other corps from mining them?
I know I am up for a million types of critisism about its free space and that but, why not try and keep a little piece for yourself.
I am open to any views about it and if it can work and how.

I am on about a system or belt that is either under another alliance so we don't care about agressive actions. Or they have no real alliance claiming ownership of the system.

There are no regional alliances, and no regional alliance can prevent anyone from going to any system.
So why bother even trying?
Why try..... well if you need to get your hands on some bistot and you know of a few systems that are close and that have some then why not try. If you can stop or create a good enough deterant then it would give the roids chance to grow and thus providing the needed ore.
As it's only an idea and I wanted to know if any have done it with any success.

There is Zydrine and Megacyte (in high-sec space) enough to make torpedos that get fired at really tiny NPC's in high-sec space... torpedos that cost 1000 isk or less are almost FREE - lol - hehe... low-risk and NO debt ever ! - lol
For starter if you know where that much is then great, but if you don't then you have to try and make the most of the bist you do know of.
I am getting the same words of wisdom from some of my corp "Whats the point??" Well until you try it and see how it plays out then you will never find out. Even if it doesn't work then its bound to be fun trying.
